Michael Ball ‘nervous’ to succeed DJ Steve Wright
Michael Ball has admitted he feels nervous about taking over from DJ Steve Wright on his BBC Radio 2 show.
Speaking to reporters, Ball said, “I have big shoes to fill following in the footsteps of a legend like Steve Wright. I’m excited for the opportunity, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous.”
Ball will be taking over the afternoon slot previously hosted by Wright, who announced his retirement from the show earlier this month.
Despite his nerves, Ball is confident in his ability to entertain listeners and is looking forward to bringing his own style to the popular radio show.
